Junkin With Type

Using type characteristics I observed on an object in an antique store I re-created a typeface. For an advanced graphic design class called Typography. Re-creating this type in Adobe Illustrator using only what I had in my photo to create the words “Go Buffaloes 2024”. I should also add we did not know what the saying was going to be until after we picked our type face. All of my projects are very tedious, but this required the biggest attention to detail ever! The first photo you see is my design of course, but the second is the thing I chose to use for reference. I lucked out and was able to create some letter very easily, but others I had to use creative and logical thinking to come up with how I think it make look; really focusing on flow and continuity of the design. After we were finished creating the type we had to come up with a simple design to put it on a t-shirt! I drew some flowers and the project really came together as you can see in the last photo!
